About Nigerian Tribune
Nigerian Tribune is one of the country's longest-running newspaper titles, with historical roots in Ibadan and continuing editorial strength in South-West politics and public affairs. It covers national politics, business, education, agriculture and sport as a general daily, but its regional reporting and its attention to South-West political developments are what most distinguish it from Lagos- and Abuja-centred titles.
It is a useful source when a story involves South-West state governments, traditional institutions or regional political alignments that national summaries compress into a sentence. Read it beside an Abuja-based title for the federal view of the same development, and beside a business publication for economic detail.
As with any daily, check the publication time on developing stories and look for later updates before treating an early account as settled.
