About NigerianNewspapers.ng

NigerianNewspapers.ng helps readers discover Nigerian publishers, compare sources and reach official reporting without pretending to be a newspaper publisher.

What this site does

NigerianNewspapers.ng is an independent news discovery service. We collect publisher-supplied headline metadata from 30 Nigerian newspapers and digital newsrooms, group reports that describe the same event, and link every headline back to the newsroom that produced it. Readers use the site to find a publisher quickly, to see which papers are covering a story, and to compare how their accounts differ.

What we do not do

We are not a newspaper and we do not report the news. We do not reproduce full articles, host publisher photographs or present ourselves as any listed publication. Every report is read at the source, which is both the honest arrangement and the one that keeps the reporting intact and properly credited.

How coverage is compared

Reports are grouped by deterministic matching on headline wording within a limited time window, using shared names, actions and locations. Conflicting figures or opposing actions prevent an automatic match. Where several publishers carry the same official statement, we say so rather than letting a source count imply independent confirmation. Editors can correct a summary, category or grouping, and those corrections survive automatic updates.

The Android app

All Nigerian Newspapers is our free Android app. It brings the same publishers into one feed, sorts them by category and lets you save a report to finish later, then opens the original publisher for the full article. The website works fully without it.

How the site is funded

The site is supported by advertising and by the Android app. Advertising has no influence on which publishers are listed, how stories are grouped or the order in which anything appears. We do not sell placement in the directory, and any future sponsored content would be clearly labelled as such.

Our relationship with publishers

We are independent of every publisher listed. Publisher names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the destination being linked. Unless expressly stated, listing does not imply affiliation, endorsement or partnership.

Corrections and accuracy

We correct material factual, attribution and grouping errors when they are verified. If a headline is attributed to the wrong publisher, two unrelated reports have been grouped together, or a link points to the wrong article, tell us through the contact page and we will check it.
