  • Babcock University

Babcock University is a privately owned institution with a population estimate of 20,000 students. The school is managed and owned by the Seventh-day Adventist church a Christian denominational church.

The school is situated at Ilishan-Remo, along Ibadan-Lagos expressway. It was founded in 1959 and has shown a quite tremendous remark in Nigeria. Igbinedion University, which is located in the outskirt of Ovia, in Edo state. The school boasts to be the first private school in Nigeria, it was established in 1999 and founded by Gabriel Igbinedion. Igbinedion University was named after the founder and is currently run by him, meaning he is currently the vice-chancellor of the school.

Igbinedion University brags to be the first private school in Nigeria to have produce medical doctors in Sub-Saharan Africa.
